FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS:
🥵 Temperatures will soar into the 90s today and tomorrow, while heat index values near or top 100°
🍃 A front slides through late Thursday into early Friday providing some relief
⚡️ The front will bring a small window for storms
Good morning! We've been on repeat when it comes to the mornings -- you know the drill: sticky, drizzly at times, and warm. Like yesterday, the sun will pop out during the afternoon. This pushes temperatures into the 90s today. You combine that with the humidity and it'll put heat index values into the upper-90s.
Wednesday morning is (you guessed it) going to bring another round of clouds, drizzle, and stickiness. Clouds may clear a bit quicker tomorrow, as dry air tries to move in from the west. It'll be our warmest day, with temperatures in the mid-90s and heat index values 100°+.
Thursday will be warm, too, but not as hot. A front will slowly push through Texas and into our area by late Thursday night/early Friday morning. As it does, it may kick off a few storms Thursday afternoon. Should a storm develop, severe weather would be possible. Storm chances sit at 20%.
Behind the front on Friday, humidity levels will drop and temperatures will only reach the low to mid-80s! It'll feel much better. The "cooler" weather will hang around over the weekend. By Mother's Day, a weak disturbance could kick off some showers and storms. It won't be raining all day, but an isolated downpour will be possible. Stay tuned for more updates!
Have a great day!
