Summer-like heat and smoky haze
• Hazy sky this week
• Summer-like heat (mid/upper 90s)
• Small storm chances
The extra haze in the air today was caused by smoke from agricultural burning in Southern Mexico and Central America, and you'll notice it the rest of the week. It's biggest impact will be more vibrant sunrises and sunset. The thickest smoke is over the Gulf of Mexico.
Otherwise it's all about summer-like heat with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 90s, which is more like our average high in July and August.
A few afternoon storms could pop-up daily starting Wednesday, but coverage will be very limited, so don't get your hopes up.
